Couples Counseling in Dallas

Reconnect. Communicate. Grow together.

A supportive space for couples to understand each other more deeply and build a relationship that can weather life’s changes.

Our Approach

Understanding yourself, your partner, and how to communicate that understanding to each other is often the key to a happier, healthier relationship. At our Dallas practice, we teach practical tools and techniques to help you work toward a balanced, fulfilling partnership. We work with couples in all phases of their relationship — newly together, newly married, navigating a rough patch, or rebuilding after a rupture. With the right support, every stage can become an opportunity to change and grow closer. Meet our team of couples therapists.

What We Work On

What to Expect

Couples counseling at PATH is:

Every relationship is different, and your therapist will tailor the approach to fit your specific dynamic and goals. Some couples also benefit from a focused retreat format for deeper, concentrated work.

A Gentle Note on the Process

Growth as a couple rarely happens in a straight line. It’s normal for things to feel harder before they feel easier — that’s often a sign real change is taking root. Your therapist will walk alongside you at a pace that feels safe for both partners.

Important Note

Couples counseling is not a substitute for individual mental health treatment when one or both partners has needs that require separate, individualized care. Your therapist may recommend individual sessions alongside couples work when appropriate.

Your relationship has the capacity to grow stronger.
Counseling offers the space and tools to help it get there.

FAQ

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Many couples reach out to strengthen communication, prepare for marriage, or reconnect after a busy or difficult season. If something in your relationship feels stuck, counseling offers a place to sort through it together.

That’s very common, and it doesn’t have to stop you from starting. Some couples begin with a single consultation to see how it feels, and your therapist will make sure both partners feel heard rather than singled out. If your partner isn’t ready, individual therapy can also be a helpful place to begin.

Yes. We work with engaged and newly married couples, including structured Prepare/Enrich assessments that help you build a strong foundation before and after the wedding.

There’s no set timeline — it depends on your goals, your history, and the pace that feels safe for both of you. Your therapist will check in regularly about progress and adjust the plan together with you.

Yes. PATH offers both in-person sessions at our Dallas office and telehealth sessions for clients across Texas.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, the “No Surprises Act,” health care providers are required to give clients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use their insurance an estimate of the bill for health care items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) showing costs of items and services you can reasonably expect for your health care needs. The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may dispute the bill.

  • You may contact the health care provider listed to let them know the billed charges are higher than the GFE. You may ask them to update the bill to match the GFE, negotiate the bill, or ask if financial assistance is available.
  • You may start a dispute resolution process with the U.S.Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If you choose to use the dispute resolution process, you must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days of the date on the original bill.
